The female pooch was allegedly robbed from her family in Scotland almost five months ago – but was miraculously recovered by officers during a routine traffic stop on Monday.
In pictures shared by Tayside Police, the collie looks delighted to be safe again, and can be seen attempting to lick the face of one officer as she is transported to the station. The force confirmed the pet has now been reunited with her delighted owners after a long time apart.
The black and white dog was allegedly taken from her home in Wick, Caithness, in March, the Daily Record reports.
Police traced her on the Stirling Road in Milnathort almost five months later – around 230 miles away.

A 66-year-old man has now been charged for suspectedly stealing the pet, along with alleged road offences.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The dog was stolen from an address in Wick on Saturday, 19 March, 2022.
“On Monday, August 8, officers on patrol stopped a car on the Stirling Road in Milnathort near Kinross around 5.15 pm.
“Following the investigation, a 66-year-old man has been charged in connection with alleged theft of the dog and road traffic offences. A report has been submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office”.
