Kyiv’s central residential district was hit by drone on Monday. At least six people were killed and several more were injured, according to official estimates and announcements by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko on Telegram.
Attacks were also reported in the Ukrainian regions of Dnipropetrovsk and Odessa.
In the Sumy region, at least three people were killed and nine more injured after missiles hit a civilian target, according to governor Dmytro Zhyvytskyi.
“There are still people buried under the rubble,” he said at the time.
Local authorities believe the recent round of drones are courtesy of Russia, and Iranian-made.
Russia has bombarded civilian areas of Ukraine in recent weeks, especially in response to the explosion and partial destruction of the Crimea bridge.
