A disabled kitten without active rear legs was integrated with rabbits at an animal shelter in Utah this Easter weekend.

Canelo the domestic cat arrived at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab at six weeks old with a neurological condition that left it only able to move its front legs.

While getting laser therapy Canelo was left to recuperate in the company of rabbits.

The shelter shared videos of the cat cozying up with the various bunnies and hopping around on its two functioning legs, in a similar fashion to the rabbits.

Canelo is now thought to be around five months old and said by the shelter to be growing stronger each day, to the point he is now spending time with other cats.
