One of the main, most well-known stereotypes about cats out there is that cats are aloof and unfeeling – that cats don’t care about us or anything else.
They’re solitary creatures, they live for themselves, and they only see others as a means to get things that they want. But if you know cats as well as we do, you know that couldn’t be further from the truth.
We have seen cats do all kinds of amazing things for others without wanting anything in return. We have seen a cat adopt a lynx cub and raise it as one of her babies because the cub had no mom.
We have seen a cat rescue a human baby from freezing outside by curling around it, staying with the baby all night, and calling for help in the morning.
Cats are amazing. And when they see a creature in need of help, there is a good chance that they will do everything in their power to help it. And that’s exactly what the cat in this video did.
