Do you know that feeling of pure excitement and joy when you see your best friend for the first time in a while?
These two pups sure do! Even though former shelter dogs Kroger and Market Basket (we’re sensing a theme here) both found the perfect forever homes, they were heartbroken to leave each other when adoption day came.
Luckily, their families got together for a doggie playdate!
The pups’ rescue, @fureverhomesdogrescue, helped set up the magical moment, and many more playdates afterward.
Now this is Happily Ever After!

At first, our hearts were broken for these sweet boys! It must’ve been so difficult for them to leave one another after going through huge life changes together, but it’s such a relief that their families want to help them meet up.
Of course, the rescue may not have been able to find a potential adopter for two dogs. Furever Homes Dog Rescue regularly transports adoptable dogs from Texas to Canadian maritime provinces, so we really can’t complain about how they saved the pups.
The bottom line is–every dog in this video was matched with a forever home! This international animal rescue is doing amazing things, and these brothers are the perfect example!
